The Firm
Thomas Gearon has devoted his entire professional life to protecting the rights of blue collar workers and labor unions. Thomas was part of a collaborative effort in submitting language to the Secretary of Labor to change the law and protect the rights of union members which the US Secretary of Labor that was accepted in the Preamble of the Fair Labor Standards Act resulting in the First Responders settling a lawsuit for overtime violations in the amount of $23,000,000.00 (twenty-three million dollars). The lawsuit against the City opened up the doors to other labor unions to facilitate lawsuits resulting in the City paying out over $200 million to city workers for working people from FLSA violations. We don’t shy away from the big fight, in fact we welcome it. We don’t take a case with the mindset of settling early, we take the case with the mindset of preparing it for trial. Our identity is defined in three simple words, Strategy Preparation and Execution. We believe that reputation, integrity, and results matter.
